David Dodson is a Los Angeles–based filmmaker whose work crosses feature editing, directing and writing.
As an editor, he has cut more than twenty feature films across comedy, drama, science fiction, documentary and international production. His credits include About Fate, Outlander, High Expectations, American Mustang and a long run of feature films with Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
As a director, his work includes 8 First Dates, Love in the Big City 3, Me You He She, the faux-documentary feature The Landing, and the 2026 short What Was / Will Again. His directing and editing work often overlap — with rhythm, performance and structure informing both sides of the process.
Dodson has worked extensively overseas, and has spent much of his career moving between American and international productions.
